Does not make sense to get multi MB attachments like that.
Place the tarball in some network location and send its coordinates in the email.

Note that this is not a priority, but the tarball format is not Windows friendly. Most of us use MacOS or linux, so not an issue, but...

Could we email something, though, other than comment? Otherwise this takes it back to the original method of asking the observer/SA to send an email when they have a problem and then I have to fire up VPN and login to go take a look.

I have commented out the section of the program that sends the tar.gz file and the images. It will now send a short message and the .txt file with all of the recent errors from the logs. Ill wont rid of the code to include everything until we finalize an appropriate middle ground of enough information but not overloading the email message. I look forward to feedback so we can finalize this aspect! @astronomerdave @MateuszKM

Completely tangential. If an error is reported at 12:01 AM (i.e., a minute after midnight on the clock relevant to when the logs roll over), how far back are the logs scraped? 1 minute or 1 day + 1 minute?

Logging is in UTC so the "new day" doesn't occur until well after sunrise when nothing is (generally) taking place.

I'll add that now that I am no longer receiving anything but the notification, then I still have to fire up the Palomar VPN to log in and look at the files, so I wonder if there is some middle ground to make it easier to view the report.
