How to hide the ~/pi-apps folder?

I want to change the main folder to /opt/pi-apps or ~/.pi-apps, how can I do that?

Pi-apps needs to be somewhere that has write permissions for your non-root user, so anywhere in $HOME should work.

If you currently have pi-apps installed to ~/pi-apps, just run:

mv ~/pi-apps ~/.pi-apps
~/.pi-apps/install

Re-running the install script will update the menu launcher and pi-apps terminal command to sync with the new folder location.

Be aware I have not tried this in a while, but to the best of my knowledge this should all be designed to work in the way described.
