Input on unused-deps lint and related RFC

I've been working to integrate some unused deps checks directly into cargo (rust-lang/cargo#16600) and the question of false positives came up. I've since posted rust-lang/rfcs#3920.

As you have had a lot of experience in dealing with and supporting users with unused dependencies, I would appreciate any insights you can share on either.

Normally I'd avoid an issue for this but didn't see another channel to bring this up. Feel free to close immediately.

Both RFC and PR looks good to me. This project becomes obsolete if you land automatic fixes in cargo as well 😁

This doesn't help with dev-dependencies yet nor do we have a solution for unlinked source so there is still a role yet for specialized tools.
