This converter keeps <b>Decimal</b>, <b>Hexadecimal</b>, <b>Binary</b>, <b>DNA</b> (A=00, T=01, C=10, G=11)
and <b>Base64</b> in sync for arbitrary-size signed integers using JavaScript <code>BigInt</code>.
A leading <code>-</code> denotes negative values in every field.

<ul>
<li><b>Hex</b>: case toggle (A—F ↔ a—f).</li>
<li><b>Binary</b>: no leading zeros in canonical form (except for zero).</li>
<li><b>DNA</b>: when the bit length is odd, binary is left-padded with one leading <code>0</code> so 2-bit chunks can be formed; editing DNA rebuilds via its 2-bit mapping.</li>
<li><b>Preserve formatting</b> (default on): keeps leading zeros in <i>Binary</i> and leading A's in <i>DNA</i> while editing. Other fields remain numerically consistent.</li>
<li><b>Base64</b>: always canonical (no special "preserve" mode). It encodes the minimal big-endian <i>magnitude</i> bytes of the value; for negatives the minus sign is shown <i>outside</i> the Base64 text. Input is normalized (whitespace removed), <code>=</code> padding is auto-completed to a multiple of 4, and only the standard alphabet <code>[A—Za—z0—9+/=]</code> is accepted.</li>
In addition, a special <b>A-prefix sidecar</b> can be attached:

<li>The numeric field <i>A-prefix</i> specifies how many leading <code>A</code> bases are logically prepended to the DNA representation.</li>
<li>When copying Base64 with the <i>Copy Base64 + ~A<n></i> button, the value is exported together with the prefix marker (e.g. <code>YWJjZA== ~A3</code>).</li>
<li>When pasting a Base64 string containing such a marker, the tool automatically restores the correct DNA sequence including the leading <code>A</code>s.</li>

This mechanism ensures that leading information in DNA sequences is not lost when converting back and forth via Base64.
