calling http API on output of messages

I've got a local http API running that takes a discord media attachment URL and re-hosts the image on a different server. This would allow messages being sent into IRC to have the new media URL instead of the discord CDN url

I've tried getting anOutMessage script working with tengo but it doesn't look like the version of tengo that ships with matterbridge has an http module. Trying to call the local version of wget via os.exec doesn't seem to work either

Are there any other options available?

answering my own question.

using the matterbridge API and having another service process the stream looks to be the most direct approach
